Mechanical Design Engineer

Russell NDE
Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to join
it's R&D team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate has experience in
the design of customized downhole products and/or pipe inspection tools. The
engineer will be responsible for undertaking a variety of Mechanical
Engineering activities:
- Gathering of initial client requirements,
- Development of the requirements into design specifications,
- Formulating a conceptual design and product development,
- Generating 3D solid models (from inception to manufacturing),
- Verification of designs using both theoretical calculations and FEA,
- Drafting and manufacturing specifications,
- Directing prototype building and testing,
- Finalizing operating specifications.
|
| A BSc. in
Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 5 years of design experience. High pressure
sealing experience, knowledge of oil well completions, and oil field
background are preferred. Experience in mold design and FEA analysis for
stress and fatigue is an asset. |
| The successful
candidate will act within the existing R&D team to work on complex multi
disciplinary problems. |
