"I have found that the third generation Ferroscope
(F308) is very easy to use and setup. It is also
versatile. When setting up for an inspection I can compare many frequencies
and/or tube signals on one strip chart.
This makes the setup more efficient. The tube list is an invaluable tool for preparing an inspection pattern.
Making changes during an inspection (e.g. adding or deleting tubes) is
effortless. The fact that the F308 is compatible with windows makes
data backup a cinch.

My
favorite feature of the
F308 is the capability to calibrate and analyze on the job. I can size and
categorize any tube and not have to spend more time back at the office doing
analysis. If I see something that looks suspicious I can go back, right
then and there, and re-pull the tube to verify that the indication is
repeatable and whether or not it is real.
I have a better (a more definitive)
appreciation of the integrity of the
bundle before I leave the site.
