General Information
The А1220 is designed for inspecting reinforced concrete (as well as rocks, plastics and similar materials) for foreign inclusion, voids and cracks. The flaw detector may be used for thickness measurements and the investigations of internal structures, estimation of thickness of asphalt coverings of roads, and physico-mechanical properties of composites and plastic.
 
Flaw detector A1220 consists of an electronic unit with built-in LCD screen and soft keyboard, 24 (6 x 4) elements antenna array (AA), additional ultrasonic probes of longitudinal and shear waves. AA is used in the echo - method testing.
 
Damped low-frequency ultrasonic probes with dry point contact are located in a 6x4 matrix. Each element has independent spring loading Monitoring procedure without couplants due to design of the AA, and product surfaces can have curvature radius from 150 mm and more, and roughness up to 8 mm. Additional ultrasonic probes are used for pulse echo testing, in a transducer similar to AA elements do not require couplants.
