Heat Exchanger Tube Inspection
Heat exchangers are an integral part of any facility or plant. As such, their maintenance and reliability are a high priority for any business. During their lifespan, heat-exchangers face constant exposure to harsh temperature changes and pressure cycles, high product flows and corrosive agents. The resulting degradation, includes de-alloying, inlet erosion, fatigue cracking and more, often leaving them vulnerable to critical failures that carry a heavy cost of repair. When it comes to protecting against the inconvenience and downtime, regular inspection is a must.
Russell NDE manufactures heat exchanger probes that pair with our equipment, as well as competitor's equipment, allowing for the inspection of ferrous and non-ferrous tubes. Our RFT probes can be single, dual exciter, absolute, differential or array. Our ECT probes can be reflection bobbin style, pitch-catch or array. We also carry specialty probes for cooler tubes and have options for exchangers requiring either a rigid or flexible probe.
Russell NDE offers inspection services by way of customers that purchase equipment and serve their local area. Tube types that are eligible for inspection include (but are not limited to):
